Looking for great pizza in Yokohama? Let me introduce one of my favorite spots in Kannai.
The restaurant is called La Figlia Del Presidente, the first Japanese branch of a famous Neapolitan pizzeria from Naples. Tucked away in a small alley in Bashamichi, it can be a bit tricky to find—but trust me, it’s absolutely worth the visit.
Authentic Neapolitan Pizza with Plenty of Choices
The menu features a wide range of pizzas, from classics like Margherita and Marinara to more unique options such as RIPIENO (stuffed pizza) and LE PIZZE FRITTE (deep-fried pizza).
Out of all of them, my personal favorite is the Bismarck. It’s a cheese-based pizza topped with mushrooms, ham, and white asparagus. The best part? Breaking the egg and mixing it all together before taking a bite—rich, creamy, and incredibly satisfying.
Perfect Snacks to Go with Beer
While prosciutto and salami are always great choices with beer, I highly recommend trying the Zeppoline (fried dough balls). This Neapolitan specialty is made with seaweed mixed into the batter. The flavor is simple but addictive—you might find yourself ordering another round of drinks without even noticing.
Don’t Skip Dessert
For dessert, they offer a variety of options like tiramisu and affogato. On this visit, I went with the sorbet, which was light and refreshing. Next time, I’m planning to try the apple terrine—it sounds too good to miss.
